what is box office,
virtual cinema,
theatrical-at-home
a new story unfolding
a whimsical farce
with humor,
persistence,
tiny warriors
and goliaths
with definitions
rewritten
and challenged
an industry upended
what are we doing?
we poke, we prod
we dance
like little gnats
buzzing big ears
we build,
and knock down
which is best?
when will they send us to our room
push us to our seat, our place
put us in the corner
but maybe we’re not there yet,
not annoying enough to be swatted
what does it take?
a lot
we are still so tiny
a speck
in the face of giants
but…
we are doing something
a drop
a little
we are making a difference
we are persisting
joining
loving
facilitating
encouraging
embracing
accepting
adapting
until we can’t
but there’s never can’t
we will laugh them off
and we just will
